ABOUT US

Mondial Motorsport was founded in 1992 under the name of Red and Blue Rally Racing with Staf Aarts at the base of the team. The team was active in Regional Rallycross with Staf behind the wheel of the Fiat Ritmo Abarth. From 1993 onwards, International Rallycross competitions were raced. In 1994 the team was renamed to Abarth Racing, while a new Ritmo was built. It served until 1995. In 1996, the Ritmo was replaced by a Fiat Tipo 2.0 16v. In the meantime, the name of the team was changed to Mondial Motorsport in 1999, which it still is today. The Tipo rode until 2001. In 2002, it was replaced by a Fiat Coupé 2.0 16v Turbo. The car was used for Rallycross until 2003.

In 2004, Staf left the Rallycross branch of motorsport and moved to Hillclimb. The former Rallycross Coupé was used until 2008. In 2009 and 2010, there was no racing following the construction of a completely new car. In 2011, Staf returned to the start with a fully converted Fiat Coupé 2.0 16v Turbo with the four-wheel drive of the Lancia Delta Integrale.

In 2012 Bram Aarts, Staf's son, completed the team and the first race was held in Rittensport (Regularity on public roads). A street version of the Fiat Coupé 2.0 16v was used here during the first two years. The Fiat Coupé group N rally car was built in 2014. This has been used since the fall of 2014 in Rittensport and Classic Rally.

In 2018, plans were made to build a new Fiat Coupé 2.0 16v Turbo that will be used for trackdays. The car should be on track for the first time at the end of 2020.
